thestylebanks’ Lipstick Collection

Whether it’s a bold pop or just a wash of colour, lipstick is a perfect way to round off a look.

My lipstick collection is small but pretty much everything I need (a small lie – there’s no such thing as too many lipsticks):

Plus, MAC lipsticks are currently 10% off at Debenhams, so why not treat yourself?

THE ONLY RED LIPSTICK YOU’LL EVER NEED: MAC Ruby Woo

Nothing gives a girl confidence like a classic red lip. This brilliant blue-toned red is velvety matte, and miraculously suits every skin tone. I make sure to balm up a while before application though, as, if your lips are dry, this stuff goes on like chalk.

DEEP BERRY/ BORDEAUX / BURGUNDY / WHATEVER: MAC Diva

I’d been on the hunt for a matte, deep berry lip colour – and MAC Diva is a perfectly-balanced shade of burgundy.

A PRETTY ROSY FLUSH: Givenchy Le Rouge in Rose Dressing

I actually got this free as an adorable miniature version when I bought their Le Noir Couture mascara. Its velvety-smooth semi-matte finish complements its vibrant rose hue.

A BARELY-THERE SHEEN: Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Barely There

This is enriched with Vitamin E, so it’s good if your lips need a quick hydration fix and a peachy-rose nude sheen.

THE ALL-STAR: MAC Brick-O-La

This is my new favourite. A sultry satin that’s a better-than-natural-lip-colour colour.

What’s next to add to my collection? I’m lusting over MAC Mocha. What are your favourite lipsticks?
